Job description
Our client, a large animal feed manufacturer based in Belfat is seeking an Industrial Cleaner for a temporary ongoing position, the role has potential to go permanent to the right person
Essential Criteria
- Preferably experience of working in a factory environment
- At least 3 months experience of cleaning in an industrial environment
- Able to communicate within the team
- Able to work to deadlines
- Self motivated
- Capable of working on own initiative
- Capable of working in a team environment
- Pays close attention to detail
- Safety conscious
Responsibilities and duties
- An ongoing programme of inspection, cleaning including surfaces and spillages will be carried out on a daily basis
- Floors are hoovered, swept and washed
- Walls and ceilings are wiped down
- Machines are inspected, cleaned and sanitised
- Bags are removed from working areas as required
- Stairwells are cleaned and remain free from debris
- Cleaning records are completed and maintained at all times
- Dry and wet waste is disposed off
- Spillages are reported to the Warehouse Operations Manager or Shift Team Leader and cleaned as required
- Faults on machinery are reported to the Warehouse Operations Manager or Shift Team Leader
- Totes are emptied from the shoots
- Forklift Trucks are checked in line with the work instructions as required
- Forklift Trucks are operated safely at all times
- All work activities are carried out in line with work instructions and operating procedures
- Cleaning products are stored and maintained in line with COSHH and Environmental policies
- All hygiene requirements are met before accessing and on leaving the Bio-secure area as required
- All housekeeping activities are adhered to
- All company policy is complied with and supported
- All Health & safety procedures are adhered
- All COSHH & PPE requirements are adhered to
- Personal training and development needs are identified with supervisor
- Any other duties are carried out as appropriate
- Induction, company training and appraisal is supported as required

Rate of Pay: £9.65/hr
The role will require working additional hours during the week and at weekends to meet customer needs
Hour of work: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm
