Job description

Mobile Cleaning Operative |Belfast | Permanent (Full Time)

Staffline Ireland is currently seeking multiple Mobile Cleaning Operatives for our client a leading facilities management company on a permanent basis in Belfast.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours weekly (7.30am- 4pm with some flexibility) - across 7 days

Pay Rate: £10 p/h

Enhanced payment provided for being on call (1 week in 3) - Van supplied for on call jobs / when on call

Duties:

  • Ensure complete knowledge of all areas which are to be cleaned in the course of duty
  • Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to
  • include weekly and periodic tasks.
  • Attend training courses necessary to maintain standards
  • Provide cover in other areas in times of sickness and holidays
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health guidelines (COSHH)
  • Have full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and the use of cleaning equipment as directed by the Cleaning Manager only after correct training is given.
  • Report any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use.
  • Draw to the attention of the Manager, Area manager or the local Supervisor any potential hazards on site or infringements of Health & Safety Legislation.
  • Ensure that safety signage is always used as appropriate.
  • Ensure that cleaning stores are kept tidy, and equipment is always stored safely.
  • Draw to the attention of the Cleaning Manager low levels of cleaning material stocks where appropriate so that new supplies can be reordered.
  • Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations, wearing company uniform as specified.
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by management

Experience & requirements:

  • Experience working in a cleaning team
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
  • Experience working in a standards/compliance environment
  • Job role will require a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC clearance)
