OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SCREENING NURSE
BELFAST
£32,000 - £38,000
HYBRID WORKING PATTERN
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
As a member of our clients staff, assists and contributes to the operational effectiveness of the department and the company's objectives. To provide screening services in support of the Occupational Health Advisers within the Primary Care contract. To liaise daily with the OHAs for Primary Care and the Clinical Administrator
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To establish and maintain good working relationships and effective communication with all Primary Care clients;
- Effective day-to-day delivery of screening, in line with BHSF OH policies and procedures;
- To develop and maintain records in line with BHSF OH protocols and guidance, statutory and NMC best practice;
- To participate in clinical audits and/ or research projects as appropriate;
- To participate in health promotion programmes both on a one-to-one basis and within screening activities;
- To assist in the development of screening-related policies and procedures as required;
- Under the guidance of your line manager to be responsible for own professional development
- To actively keep abreast of current medical knowledge and guidelines pertaining to specific screening and evidence based practice;
- To attend and contribute to relevant meetings;
- Maintain confidentiality at all times;
- To collect, collate, audit and draft reports for departmental activities as required;
- To maintain courtesy, professionalism and high standards of presentation in all communications with customers and potential customers;
- To perform all tasks and duties when required, providing flexibility and cover in a team working environment.

Qualifications/ Attainments | D E D E | Full driving licence and own transport*** RN qualification in Adult Nursing Occupational Health Qualification- Diploma or degree. Clinical Skills e.g. spirometry, audiometry, referrals, new starter screening, immunisations, phlebotomy (blood taking), HAVS, skin assessments, mantoux, BCG, ECGs, keystone and snellen vision screening, drug and alcohol testing, telephone consultations and face-to-face consultations.
