Job description

The Client: Staffline Recruitment is a specialist in the provision of temporary staffing solutions to clients nationwide. We currently have vacancies in South Louth, Dublin road region for a Hotel Reception role. We are also seeking on-call temporary office staff to provide relief cover for our growing client base.

The Role: As a temporary worker, you will be responsible for providing relief support to our client's within the region. The duties will vary depending on the clients needs.

Experience in the following areas would be desirable:

  • Secretary
  • PA
  • Corporate Reception
  • Hotel Reception

Assignments can run for several days to several weeks and although full-time work cannot be guaranteed, the successful candidate will be offered regular assignments.

Hours of work: Assignments will run between the hours of 7am and 11pm ( shared rota ) -

The shift pattern for the role would be a mix of mornings (7-3), Afternoons (1-9) & Evening (3-11). It is likely that the candidate would be working more evenings and afternoons in this position.


  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
  • Manage online and phone reservations.
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data.
  • Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
  • Respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests' needs
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
  • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments

Requirements and skills

  • Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role
  • Experience with hotel reservations software, like Cloudbeds and RoomKeyPMS/Siteminder
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor
  • Customer service attitude
  • Experience with Opera systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills


  • Own transport - Ability to get to and from work.
