The Client: Local Public Sector body based in Lisburn, serving local residents.

The Role:

As a member of the Management Team within the Sports Services Unit the post- holder will be responsible to the Sports Services Manager and will play a pivotal role in,

• Ensuring the effective, efficient and economic operational management of staff and resources within the Lagan Valley LeisurePlex
• Ensuring that the very highest standards of health and safety are maintained within the facility and that relevant statutory requirements, Council procedures etc. are adhered to.
• Ensuring that the very highest standards of cleanliness are maintained and that all relevant resources including contracted staff are managed effectively.

Hours of work: 37hrs per week

Essential Requirements:

• Applicants must have a third level qualification (eg NVQ Level 4 or Degree) or the equivalent in a business relation discipline
• A minimum of 2 years** management experience at a large wet and dry leisure facility with an income of at least £5000,000
• A minimum of 2 years** employment experience in 2 of the following 3 areas:
• Managing staff rotas and work scheduling
• Managing a facility cleaning provision either directly or through a contractor
• Leading and motivating a team of staff delivering customer services in a direct service environment

**where applicants do not possess the essential academic qualification they must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years experience as outlined above

• Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Desirable Requirement:

• Experience of working with Quality Assurance models such as Customer Service Excellence

• Rates of Pay: £20.47 per hour
