Job description

Payroll Controller

Grafton are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Part time Payroll Administrator for a well known organisation based in Bangor. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Payroller to build on their experience within a varied environment with an established finance team. This will initially be for a contract lasting 15 months

The role:

  • Preparation and processing of monthly payroll for 100+ employees
  • Processing New starts, leavers and employee payroll transfers
  • Preparation of month end reports, e.g. budget v actual hours
  • Maintain/update Pension information
  • Maintain/update company benefit details
  • Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
  • Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law
  • Maintain staff rotas
  • Various ad hoc duties

Key skills:

  • 4 GCSE's Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a payroll processing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office packages including Excel
  • Experienced in Sage Payroll or equivalent systems
  • Able to organise and prioritise own workload, use own initiative and take responsibility for given tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and add value to the finance team
