Belfast Harbour Commission are currently seeking to recruit for the following position:
Police Constable
Salary: £30,197 on appointment
Established in 1847, the Belfast Harbour Police (BHP) is one of the oldest constabularies in the British Isles. Belfast Harbour Police has full constabulary powers, along with additional powers granted through Belfast Harbour Commissioners' Bye-Laws.
BHP provides a uniformed and highly visible policing service together with a Criminal Investigation Department, crime prevention advice, emergency planning, and maritime port security. Officers provide 24-hour, 365 day response cover to incidents and requests for assistance throughout the 2,000 acre Harbour Estate and extending to one mile outside of its perimeter through a neighbourhood sector policing model.
