Production Operatives

Lisburn

Temporary - Permenet

The Client: Our client is a leading construction materials group in Great Britain and Ireland. They produce a comprehensive range of dense and lightweight concrete blocks, T-beams and building products.

Purpose of the Role

To carry daily production tasks and other such tasks as set by Chargehands and Management within the Tile Plant to the highest standards while maintaining exceptionally high standards of safety and quality

The Role:

Adhere to Company Health & Safety working practices and legislative regulations

Perform visual quality inspections of product and final packaging

Set up, perform routine checks and operate machinery

Reduce waste and minimise production costs

Contribute to the consistent delivery of production targets and budgeted operational performance

Maintain exceptionally high standard of housekeeping

Perform the job in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, especially the Equal Opportunities and Harassment Policy.

Perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time-to-time.

The Person :

Team Player with ability to maintain effective working relationships across all levels

Ability to work on own initiative

Flexibility in relation to working skills/ hours to meet business needs

Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload

Practical problem solver

Desirable :

Knowledge of machinery and equipment

Plant Operation experience

Driving Licence

In Return

Day rate: minimum wage + time and a half after 8 hours

Night rate: enhanced rate + time and a half after 8 hours

Saturday: time and a half

Sunday: double time

Possibility of Permanent employment after 12 weeks
