Our client : Our Client is a leading power generation specialist and EPC solutions provider for the engineering, installation and maintenance of gas-fired distributed power plants, standby mission critical generation, and battery energy storage systems.
Main Purpose Of The Role:
- Assist with all tasks associated with the production of containerised gas engines.
- Participate fully as a member of the manufacturing team.
- Assist Fore person, team leaders, subcontractors and other departments with any issues.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards.
- To ensure all work is carried out as per the relevant method statements and risk assessments.
- To always consider the health & safety of yourself and others affected by your work.
- To ensure that all sets are despatched within the time scales allocated.
- To complete all general fitting, stripping and welding duties associated with the build and despatch of sets.
- To assist and help fore person and team leaders with all production issues.
- To ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times i.e. tools/ cables returned after use, packaging disposed of in relevant bins.
- Measure and fit differential pressure hoses.
- To complete tagging on sets.
- To clean and paint sets as deemed necessary prior to dispatch.
- Ensure shopfloor is kept tidy at all times.
- Participate fully as a member of the team.
- Assist other departments with all other issues.
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary by management.
Position Profile
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, focused individual to become a key member of our client Production Team.The purpose of this role is to assist with the production of power generation sets.
Experience
- A time served mechanical fitter with at least 3 years experience
- A good appreciation of health & safety
- Manual handling training
- An overhead crane licence
- Forklift licence
- Lifting and slinging training
- Working at heights/ ladder training
- Manufacturing experience
- Drilling/ Cutting/ Grinding experience
- Experience with MMA welding
- Experience with the lifting and shifting of heavy equipment
- Sound mechanical knowledge
- Full drivers licence
- Experience with quality control procedures
- Ability to work as part of a team
Hours of Work:
- Monday Thursday 08.30 - 17.30
- Friday 08.30 - 16.30
In return:
- Hourly rate £11.50
