Production shift supervisor
As a key member of the production and technical team, you will take responsibility for delivering a best in class manufacturing performance.
The role will be to optimise cheese production to best in class performance in unit cost, quality, waste, service and compliance.
While not an exhaustive list, other key responsibilities include delivering a best in class performance in all aspects of processing, delivering a first class cheese product within specification and to customer requirements, setting and maintaining effective hygiene controls, monitoring cheese quality through the packing lines and managing food safety and quality assurance issues in conjunction with the Technical team. You will also implement a structured approach to continual improvement activities, optimising plant performance, stock holding levels, driving down wastage, audit compliance and adherence to production schedules.
The ideal candidate will have a good level of general education with a minimum of 3 years relevant food manufacturing experience, ideally with a third level qualification in food science or a technical discipline. While not essential, five years similar experience of cheese processing would be of benefit. You will be able to lead and manage a team and have a successful track record of developing a lean culture and delivering process improvements. Strong technical skills and a track record of delivering against quality/food safety requirements is also key, as are strong and effective communication skills.

This role will be based on a rota across 7 days, to include 3 on / 3 off days and nights.
