Staffline are delighted to partner with one of Irelands leading food producers and are recruiting a Production Supervisor for their site in Cahir, Co. Tipperary.
This is a family-owned business which operates to the highest international standards of food production.
The Production Supervisor, will have responsibility for managing the day-to-day running of the shift, ensuring the safe and efficient production of products.
They will ensure that production and quality targets are consistently met, and that people are managed and trained effectively to carry out their duties.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Lead and motivate production operators and team leaders.
- Aim to optimise the production performance of your department - the inhouse targets on efficiency are the continuous goal and you must be able to explain when/if these are not met why.
- Ensures manufacturing-volume requirements are met.
- Responsible for the stock take in your department on a monthly basis. You must gather a team to conduct this stock take and ensure it is done fully and accurately.
- Effectively manages employee performance,
- Leads problem-solving initiatives within production.
- Support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support.
- Responsible for the identification, segregation and traceability of quality assured product.
- Evaluate task training of staff and organise re-training where required.
- Ensure quality checks are carried out correctly and at the time required.
- Ensure product tractability remains intact at all times.
- Ensure that Bord Bia MPQAS and Non Bord Bia MPQAS product is handled as per procedure.
- Ensure Allergen production procedures are followed correctly.
- Ensure that Cross Species production procedures are followed correctly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience of demonstrating ability in people motivation, organising and team building would be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with proven ability to deliver results in cross-function team-based environment.
