Purchasing and Accounts Assistant


Mon - Fri - Hybrid working

Duties shall include but not be limited to:

  • Matching invoices to Purchase orders & Delivery Dockets, ensuring authorizations are obtained in accordance with company policy & procedures.
  • Ensuring invoices are coded correctly for entry to sage accounting software
  • Producing supplier payment runs both BACS & cheques.
  • Dealing with supplier queries.
  • Accurate supplier statements reconciliations to include query resolution.
  • Liaising with internal and external managers to resolve queries.
  • Involved in full purchasing cycle to include monitoring adherence to company procedures.
  • Monitoring and adherence to supplier agreements i.e. price, quality & service.
  • Monitoring & control of use of preferred supplier list, products & services.
  • General office administration associated with a busy Finance Department to include maintenance of Finance Filing Systems.
  • Support the Finance Department on a day to day basis as and when necessary.
  • Other ad hoc duties.
  • Cash management and bank management to include lodgements, reconciliations and reviewing of staff expenses.

Essential Criteria

  • 1 years experience of working in a busy Accounts office environment
  • Computer Literate - Sage Line 50 & excel experience
  • Ability to manage own workplan and meet pre agreed deadlines
