Purchasing and Logistics Administrator - Dublin 11 - €40K

Our client is an Irish owned and operated company operating in the supply chain management space. They are a reputable and ever growing organisation who import from Europe's leading suppliers for distribution to UK and Irish markets.

Due to continued growth they are seeking an experienced Purchasing and Logistics Administrator to take up a permanent position within their team. Working as part of a busy Sales and Distribution team, the successful candidate will provide a key administrative function to the purchasing and distribution teams.

The successful candidate will work as part in a dynamic, fast paced and ever changing work environment - you will act as a central point of contact to ensure that everything is where it needs to be!

Key responsibilities will include the following

  • Prepare orders and purchases goods and materials, arranging approval as per organisational policy
  • Comply with procurement and contracts management policies, procedures, strategies, and systems to ensure the timeliness, quality and cost effectiveness of goods and services purchased
  • Create and maintain accurate purchasing documentation and records
  • Respond to customer and supplier enquiries
  • Liaise with distribution centres to effectively implement the order schedules
  • Work closely with sales teams and supply chain to ensure supply needs are met
  • Track and report on stock levels, to ensure adequate supply is always available
  • Follow up on orders with suppliers and reporting on delivery timeframes
  • Coordination of logistics for product delivery within required timeframes and reporting to business stakeholder on delivery & availability status
  • Ensure compliance is maintained through documentation
  • Work collaboratively across various teams within the business

Interested candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • 2-5 years' experience in a purchasing and/or logistics and supply chain
  • Ability to self-motivate and self-manage workload
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
  • Meticulous planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer focus
