Purchasing and Logistics Administrator - Dublin 12
Our client is a thriving Irish owned and operated business with offices in Dublin 12. Due to consistent recent growth they have a vacancy available for a Purchasing and Logistics Administrator to take up a permanent position within their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the planning and logistics activities with local and overseas suppliers and will also liaise with our forwarding companies to manage all import and export activities. As part of this role, there will also be a focus on purchasing administration and building strong relationships with suppliers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing documents related to shipping and calculating shipping costs
- Creating value driven reports and providing insightful analysis to the finance, sales and leadership teams
- Providing internal team with shipping updates and estimated time of arrival
- Following up and liaising with overseas suppliers and customs to ensure accurate shipping documentation
- Prepare and let purchase orders to scope and within budget
- Co-ordinate supply to site, ensuring delivery to the correct location in a timely manner
- Building relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for best price and scheduling.
- Communicating with your site teams daily to ensure accurate ordering and expectations are met.
- On boarding new suppliers and contractors
- Stock and inventory management
Applicants will meet the following requirements:
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- An understanding of import and export regulations and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- A recognised ability to think commercially and strategically.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong emotional intelligence and relationship building skills with stakeholders, both internal and external to the business.
- Results driven with proven skills in problem solving, innovation and critical thinking
