Purchasing Co-ordinator



An excellent opportunity for a Purchasing Co-ordinator to join a leading distributor of specialist products. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager your main duties will include:

  • Obtain order confirmations to ensure services or materials are being scheduled per order requests. Update the company database with confirmed delivery dates.
  • Expedite orders to track timely receipt of goods or services to support customer service and company targets.
  • Maintain the material records on the company database (lead-time, minimum order qty etc)
  • Maintain accurate purchase transaction history through organised purchasing and vendor records on an ongoing basis.
  • Support resolution of invoice discrepancies
  • Obtain commercial invoices for import requirements.
  • Obtain quotes and proposals as required.
  • Prepare and place purchase orders with vendors in accordance with lead times and operational requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in a similar position
  • Experience of Sage, Excel, Teams and Word
