Job description
An exciting opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional to join an innovative and award winning manufacturer based in their Co. Down facility. The successful candidate will lead a fast paced and established purchasing team and have full responsibility for the department.
Main duties will include;
- Maintenance and development of the MRP system
- Implementation and maintenance of Vendor Schedules
- Management of a Global Supply Chain
- Management and development of existing Supply Contracts
- The ongoing management and development of negotiated Supply Chain Solutions
- Achieving targets on cost reduction
- Monthly and yearly reviews of costs
Essential criteria
- 5 years experience within a senior purchasing role
- CIPS qualification would be desirable
- Experience using MRP systems
- Experience in either manufacturing or electronic industries
- Excellent IT skills
