Job description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional to join an innovative and award winning manufacturer based in their Co. Down facility. The successful candidate will lead a fast paced and established purchasing team and have full responsibility for the department.

Main duties will include;

  • Maintenance and development of the MRP system
  • Implementation and maintenance of Vendor Schedules
  • Management of a Global Supply Chain
  • Management and development of existing Supply Contracts
  • The ongoing management and development of negotiated Supply Chain Solutions
  • Achieving targets on cost reduction
  • Monthly and yearly reviews of costs

Essential criteria

  • 5 years experience within a senior purchasing role
  • CIPS qualification would be desirable
  • Experience using MRP systems
  • Experience in either manufacturing or electronic industries
  • Excellent IT skills
