Quantity Surveyor - Band 6

Lisburn

3 months with possible extension

The Client: Local Healthcare body based in Lisburn, serving local residents.

The Role:

To be responsible for providing Quantity Surveying services for the Trust Term Service Contracts in accordance with the strategies and plans approved by the Trust including the following:

• Desktop and Site re-measurement audits of MTC / TSC Contractor Accounts
• Preparing minor capital works estimates for Trust Departments
• Managing NEC4 TSC Contracts and MTC Contracts
• Management and ownership of the commercial and contractual requirements through the lifecycle of the Contracts
• Conduct cost and risk analysis
• Review all incoming correspondence from Contractors, Estate Officers, Design Team to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies
• Manage commercial aspects of contracts
• Provide project costing
• Manage project change order procedures and agree costs with Contractors
• Set-up and maintain a range of MTC / TSC for Estates usage and ensure both VFM and quantity are measured

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday, 9am- 5pm

Requirements:

Experience

2 years' experience:

• Preparing account valuations using Published Schedule of Rates
• Managing Building Maintenance NEC4 TSC/TSSC Contracts and/or GC Works 7 Measured Term Service Contracts
• Preparing Tender Documentation

Qualifications/ Registration

• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying RICS accredited degree and 2 years' post graduate experience

Or

• A BEng(Hons) in Mechanical or Electrical or Building Services or Civil Engineering with 2 years' post graduate experience in building maintenance NEC4 TSC Contracts or GC Works 7 Measured Term Service Contracts

Or

• Associate Member of the RICS (AssocRICS) with 3 years' experience working within TSC Contracts

Or

• Chartered Quantity Surveyor

In Return:

• Rates of pay £16.52 per hour
