Job description

Staffline in partnership with Lakeland Dairies are currently recruiting for Seasonal Production operatives for their site bases in Artigarvan.

This is an exciting time to join Lakeland Dairies. Their operation is growing and growing and are currently supplying to over 80 countries!

Staffline are recruiting for the following areas - Milk Intake, Processing, Drying and Despatch. All roles will involve manual lifting, completion of production records and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that production operations are conducted in adherence to all company standards for Hygiene, Health and Safety and workplace cleanliness
  • Inspection of incoming supplies that are needed in production areas
  • Completion of production documentation (Quality, H&S records etc)
  • Provide cover for other departments as required
  • Undertaking any other duties as required in delivering effective/efficient milk production

MILK INTAKE & PROCESS

  • Intake raw milk Intake from farm collection and bulk tankers in line with strict quality and hygiene procedures
  • The segregation of the raw milk into their various product streams.
  • Sampling and testing of raw products
  • Loading milk and cream export tankers

BAGGING & DESPATCH

  • Operation of bagging lines and palletiser machinery
  • Loading of products into containers/vehicles
  • Inspection of incoming supplies that are needed in production areas
  • Operation of Forklifts & Pallet Trucks
  • Ensuring the safe storage of products in onsite stores

DRYING

  • Completes pre-operational checks on all equipment before starting a process.
  • Collects all samples and checks components of raw materials and finished product in accordance with published SOP's.
  • Operates equipment and machinery in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures, making corrections as required based on system/operational monitoring information
  • Monitors and documents production, chemical, maintenance and cleaning processes, informing the Production Manager/Supervisor of any issues or concerns.
  • Completes all work instructions, production, quality, safety and hygiene logs accurately and in a timely manner
