Position Description - Senior Bookkeeper

Salary - £35,000 a year

Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Senior Bookee on behalf of a leading supplier to the construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your career with a forward thinking, dynamic company, marketing leading brands.

The ideal candidate will have:

AAT or ACCA part-qualified or qualified.

3 years' experience within and small or medium sized practice and have an excellent working knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks and Sage.

You must have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines whilst monitoring performance targets.

Excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.

Advanced MS Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Main duties would include:

Bookkeeping- day to day recording of transactions in purchase and sales ledger.

Take control of purchase and sales ledgers and assist with month-end processes.

Dealing directly with our trade customers via email or telephone and handling queries relating to invoices and other accounting issues.

Managing credit control.

Preparing the creditors mid month and monthly payment run ready for approval.

Handling sales invoices, receipts, income, and payments.

Reconciling bank statements and the general ledger, completing journals, VAT returns.

Contribute to the smooth running of the accounts department reporting to a Finance Director

Assist with paperwork filing.

Assist the Directors with any ad-hoc tasks, management accounts etc.
