SENIOR BOOKKEEPER/ACCOUNTS MANAGER | NORTH COUNTY DUBLIN | PERMANENT | €38-40K

Staffline Recruitment is currently recruiting a Senior Bookkeeper/Accounts Manager on behalf of our client, a market leader in the property and real estate sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified professional to join an established team. The role is a stand-alone position so the successful candidate will be fully responsible for the finance function for the business and will report directly to the MD.

THE ROLE |

The main purpose of this role is to provide day-to-day support to the MD by effectively managing the accounts function. This is an extremely busy role so will suit an effective multi-tasker with excellent organisational skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The role will be offered on a full-time, permanent basis and the client is ready for an immediate start.

RESPONSIBILITIES |

  • Management of accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Reconciliation of accounts on a monthly basis
  • Management of credit control
  • Balancing GL to trial balance
  • Preparation of monthly management reports
  • Management of the balance sheet to include all reconciliations necessary for period and quarterly close process
  • Support the external audit process
  • Support MD and business units on business and financial processes
  • Complete monthly bank reports
  • Quarterly cash forecasting
  • Complete VAT compliance processes
  • Monthly staff payroll and accurate payroll reporting and records maintenance
  • Preparation and submission of Revenue returns

REQUIREMENTS |

  • At least 3-4 years previous experience in a senior finance role essential
  • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA desirable although not essential
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 accounts preferred or similar finance software
  • Knowledge of management accounting principles and audit procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Motivated, self-starter with enthusiasm and pro-active approach
  • Ability to identify and recommend process improvements
