SHEQ Officer


Excellent Salary

An excellent opportunity for a SHEQ Officer to join a leading Newry based company. Reporting to the H&S Director you will implement and maintain SHEQ policies and procedures and have the opportunity to grow and develop your own skill set

Main duties will include;

  • Assist with the development and review of SHEQ policies and procedures and risk assessments
  • Ensure all H&S polices are adhered to with regular reviews
  • Assist with ISO accreditations
  • Provide training to new employees
  • Ensure that all accidents are logged, investigated and improvements implemented
  • Carry out regular workshops and inspections
  • Maintain H&S records providing training where required
  • Work with Contract Managers on projects
  • Keep up to date with current legislation ensuring company compliance
  • Travel to different sites when required

Essential Criteria

  • 2 years' experience in a SHEQ role
  • Experience in construction / production / manufacturing or related industry
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
