Strategic HR & OD Lead - Semi State Body

At Staffline Recruitment we have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced Strategic HR and OD Lead to join their expanding HR department. Working as part of a rapidly growing semi state organisation, this newly created permanent position will offer excellent career progression opportunities to the successful candidate.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role will be to support senior management across the organisation a range of HR and OD related matters. The role holder will play a key role working across the HR team ensuring delivery against strategic people priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Working closely with the management team to enable them to deliver their business plans
  • Building HR programs, policies and initiatives strategically
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the People strategy
  • Supporting policies to ensure business and people goals are achieved
  • Design, plan and lead strategic change and organisation design interventions from concept to effective execution
  • Build relationships with external partners to ensure they understand the business and optimise the services and solutions to match the business requirements
  • Act as a trusted adviser to the management team on the implementation of people policies
  • Champion the organisation's values through employee and manager engagement
  • Coach and mentor junior staff


  • A third level education with CIPD accreditation or equivalent, along with significant relevant HR experience
  • Experience operating at senior level in a complex organisation
  • A proven track record in business planning, leading change management programmes
  • Senior HR operational experience with a strong record of enhancing business performance and effectiveness
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including; talent acquisition and management, management development, performance management, engagement, reward and recognition

This permanent will offer a salary in the region of €80,000 - €90,000 plus benefits, depending on experience.
