Job Purpose

Working as part of our clients IKON team to test and develop new and existing market leading products to ensure robust design and performance criteria are delivered from a structural perspective.

Core Activities

· Project manage new structural developments and product improvements

· Record and detail development data including reports, drawings

· Analyse and review test data to optimise design and product performance

· Work effectively in conjunction with other engineers and technicians

· Liaise with other department functions including technical, engineering, operations

· Report and present updates on project status and timelines

· Operate in compliance with ISO 37301, 9001, the company handbook and Code of Conduct

· Follow the appropriate EN standards and country codes for product development

Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Skills / Key Characteristics

· ME or BEng lev 8 in Structural/Civil/Mechanical Engineering - essential!

· Working knowledge of Solidworks & AutoCad

· Knowledge of FEA, ideally ANSYS

· Good structural theoretical understanding for structural components

· Hands on approach in structural testing, building test rigs,

· EN certification & regulatory compliance knowledge

· Good people management and communication skills

· Innovative, creative design ability, open minded

· Be willing to travel, when there is need

· Full Clean Irish/UK/EU licence required

· Ability to work safely and apply good housekeeping in all areas of work
