Supply Chain Manager - Engineering Parts

At Staffline Recruitment we are have a new opportunity available for an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a strong engineering / manufacturing background. This newly created role is with a growing, reputable business experiencing significant growth and success. The successful candidate will be a critical piece to this success and will take full control of the supply chain operations from end to end with clear targets for cost savings and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for coordinating a Preferred Supplier List for the business that will deliver sustainable value/benefits to the business
  • Cultivate strong supplier relationships and tightly monitor their performance in terms of delivering on time, in full and in quality through a robust Supplier Relationship Management framework
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and improve workings between Procurement and other teams
  • Work closely with operations and finance to be able to make strong in roads to the continued success of the organisation
  • Participating in group wide knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives
  • Manage the negotiations of contracts and ensuring best practice methods are followed
  • Contribute to new business negotiations and tender processes
  • Provide advice on supply chain matters to the business during planning and strategic activities

Interested applicant will meet the following requirements:

  • 5+ years of supply chain, procurement or purchasing experience
  • Previous supply chain management experience in a complex business or operation
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification
  • In-depth experience / knowledge of engineering /pharma/food manufacturing sectors
  • Previous experience in contract negotiations and vendor assessment
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical experience
  • Strong business analysis and problem solving skills, and excellent attention to detail
  • Adaptable and with an innovative approach to work
  • The ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business

This permanent position will require an experienced Supply Chain Manager who is flexible, adaptable and dynamic in their approach to work. Paramount to success in this role will be the ability to maintain strong internal and external relationships and the ability to respond to frequent changes in supply and demand in a fast paced working environment.
