Team Leader - Camphill Community Glencraig

Location: Holywood

Salary: £27,702

Grafton Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting a Team Leader exclusively for our client, Camphill Community Glencraig on a full time permanent basis, 40 hours per week.

A superb opportunity for a qualified Social Work professional with 2 years' experience working with people with Autism/Learning Disability, Camphill's Glencraig community is set in a stunning, picturesque environment spanning around 100 acres of land, offering something truly different and unique.

The Role

As the Team Leader you will:

  • Lead the Support Team of the house, offering best practice guidance with regard to assessed care needs of the residents and day-to-day operations within the house
  • You will, as part of a team, will enable child residents who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, to pursue a valued lifestyle by supporting them and ensuring that all their social, emotional, spiritual and daily activity needs are met.



  • Degree in Social Work and NISCC Registration.
  • 2 years' experience working with challenging behaviours such as verbal and physical aggression preferably in a residential setting.
  • 2 years' experience working with people with Autism/Learning Disability.
  • Experience in planning or implementing and reviewing individual support packages.
  • Experience of providing direct personal care to individuals
  • Knowledge of the residential model of service provision and the effects of disability
  • Ability to motivate others, strong organisational skills and ability to take initiative
  • Strong effective communication skills
  • Understanding of, and willingness to actively support and promote the Camphill ethos
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis that requires sleep over duties.
  • Hold a full and current driving licence valid for use in the UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment
