Team Leader - Financial Services - Dublin 4

Our client is a leading Irish energy business, dedicated to the provision of transmission and market services for the benefit of electricity consumers, committed to delivering high quality services to all customers, including generators, suppliers and consumers, across the high voltage electricity system and via the efficient operation of the wholesale power market. It puts in place the grid infrastructure needed to support competition in energy, to promote economic growth, to facilitate more renewable energy, and to provide essential services.

Due to continued growth they are currently seeking to recruit a Team Leader / Senior Controller to join their Settlements team. The Settlement Team manages all settlement activity, including credit management and clearing of the wholesale electricity markets. The team is also responsible for the formal query and dispute management processes in line with the relevant market codes. The team manages the delivery of the Transmission System Operator settlement schemes as well as Interconnector related settlement.

This is a permanent position that will offer a salary in the region of €40,000 - €45,000 with attractive working hours and excellent benefits.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordinating the daily task deliverables of controllers
  • Co-ordinating and monitoring the processing of payments and/or market prices (e,g, settlement payments, credit control and performance security, milestone payments in post auctions)
  • Co-Ordinating Registration processing within the team, participants and internal teams
  • Co-Ordinating the Pre Qualification, Qualification and Operation Auction processes
  • Development and enhancement of new and existing process and procedures
  • Managing Formal, General Query management within defined KPIs
  • Issue Management/trouble Shooting
  • System Testing and coordination change management enhancements
  • Managing Disputes process
  • Managing the Internal and External Audits contributions of the team
  • Staff Training and support
  • Status reporting and issue escalation to Team Lead and Head of function
  • Ensure deliverables are met to a high quality, within timelines and customer focused
  • Communicating and reporting to a high level both internally and externally

This role requires a focused, dedicated, team player who will be up to the challenge of running a functional area independently, while seamlessly engaging with the wider team. Excellent communication skills and critical thinking are essential to the role.

Applicants will meet the following requirements:

  • Third level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Up to 3 years' experience in administrative/business related role
  • Demonstrable track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholder
  • Excellent time management and coordination skills.
  • Experience in co-ordinating and delegating tasks within a team
  • Effective communicator - expressing information and ideas to others in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in presenting to large groups
  • Numeracy and analytical skills
  • A natural attention to detail and accuracy
  • A high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office and file management systems e.g. SharePoint
