Position Tractor Mechanic

This is a full-time permanent role.

When there is a problem with expensive and complex farm machinery like tractors, your role is to fix the problem as soon as possible so they can go back to the field.

As a tractor mechanic, you will also be working with Sprayers, grass toppers and harvesting equipment. Having a deep knowledge of popular manufacturers or specialising in a certain tractor manufacturer is expected from this role for swift solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Closely examine and listen to equipment to locate damages, defects and wear; and diagnose any abnormalities to maintain functionality.
• Reassemble machines and tractor equipment post-repairs, tests and make adjustments as required for continuous safe performance.
• Test different electrical components and wiring such as electrical circuits, with soldering equipment and test meters, to restore proper functioning.
• Keep detailed records of client details and calculate costs for repairs based on labour, parts used and repairs made.
• Overhaul and the maintenance of farm tractors and farm machinery including balers; bale wrappers; mowers; diet feeders and other farm equipment
• Responsible for performing routine repairs on vehicles; technical tasks and procedures; working with technical information in manuals and specifications and inspecting and testing system and fault diagnosis. working as part of a team.
• Skills and Experience Fully Qualified Agricultural Mechanic with experience.
• Experience working with Modern Tractors and Agricultural Machinery
• Knowledge of vehicle electronic systems and fault diagnostics essential
