MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as usher during events as required.

Assist, all hirers and users in the use of the premises.

Implement Emergency Procedures including Fire Evacuation and assisting public from the building.

Carry out cleaning duties, including the clearing and cleaning of the bar to ensure that it meets the required hygiene standards.

Assist in the preparation of activity areas. Stage, function rooms and ancillary facilities in advance of use.

Report promptly any problems or failures of equipment or procedures.

Prepare the bar for service ensuring that it can open promptly before performances/events.

Serve customers including taking orders for interval drinks.

Comply with all licensing conditions relating to the supply of alcohol.

Use the till and other systems to ensure the correct recording of sales and stock and cash up the till at the end of the shift as required.

Restock the Bar, and advise the Duty Officer of any shortages of stock as appropriate.

Maintain hygiene and Food Safety requirements, in the bar following 'clean as you go' principles as required.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA;

A minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy.

DESIRABLE;

1 years' experience of working in a similar post i.e. working directly with the public in a customer-focused environment.
