Warehouse Operative | Belfast

Staffline Ireland is delighted to be partnering with a local leading medical product supplier to recruit a Warehouse Operative on a temporary to permanent basis at their site in Belfast.

Role:

Your responsibility will be to ensure all stock related activity is carried as instructed by the operations manager.

Duties:

• Accurate Order checking, picking, packing and dispatch of goods as per procedures written and unwritten
• Goods Inwards, checking, sorting and put-away of all products as requested by manager
• Replenishing stock levels on warehouse floor as required
• Reporting any discrepancies or problems to line manager/supervisor without delay
• Liaising with all relevant departments within the company
• General housekeeping to ensure that stock is stored in a safe and clean environment and dangerous or risky practices are identified and advised to manager
• Assisting with stock taking and regular cycle counting
• Opening and closing of facility, locking up, setting alarm, some cleaning work.
• Obtaining authorisation of returns and organising collection of goods from customers, process same in accordance with established procedures
• Submitting all despatch dockets to the stock controller / manager as advised
• Participation in appropriate training as may be required by Manager

Criteria:

• Previous experience in warehouse operation preferred.
• Valid forklift licence is desirable.
• Good level of written/spoken English and Maths.
• Comfortable using Microsoft packages (Word/Excel/Outlook etc.)
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday 08:30 - 5pm

Rate of pay:

• Circa £10p/h+ (depending on experience/qualifications)
