Our client based outside Omagh, Co Tyrone have a vacancy for a Yard Supervisor

As the Yard Supervisor, your duties will include

Role:

• Maintain the yard area including machines and equipment in a safe, tidy and organised manner
• Maintain and develop standard systems and procedures for receiving and issuing of equipment
• Ensure that all equipment due to leave the yard is fully certified, cleaned and checked prior to dispatch
• Assist and ensure the loading / unloading of equipment are in accordance with safe working practices
• Ensure all plant is refuelled prior to despatch.
• Book services for all Plant and monitor/ maintain plant services records
• Will be required to deliver plant / equipment to various sites as required

Hours of work:

• Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm

Requirements:

The ideal Yard Supervisor will have

• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar role with construction plant and equipment
• Manage the delivery, maintenance and issue of Plant and equipment
• Must have relevant mechanical knowledge regarding construction plant and equipment
• Must be flexible and adaptable including delivery of plant equipment to sites outside normal hours
• Must be able to work effectively both independently, and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Sound administration skills and maintains accurate records
• Has strong Health and Safety knowledge and awareness
• It is essential to possess a Licence / Cards for Forklift, telehandler, Excavator and Roller
• Driving licence to include Towing is essential
• HGV Licence is advantageous
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages
